Still Life: A Memoir of Living Fully with Depression
by Gillian Marchenko
Wow. Just had to take a moment to share with you what I’m reading! It’s that good.
If you haven’t yet read Gillian Marchenko’s Still Life, you should.
I’m impressed by the way Gillian captures the… weight… pain… numbness… emptiness… of depression. She articulates so well what it feels like in the depths. It’s wonderful and interesting and frightening to be so clearly confronted by proof that someone else has existed there, in that place that feels so solitary no one could possibly have been there, too.
If your life has been touched, feels tainted, by depression, whether yours or someone else’s, you should read this book.
