Though the days have been getting longer since late December, we’re still struggling with too little daylight here in the Northeast US. Nights are still l…o…n…g. Short days. Cloudy days. SAD, seasonal affective disorder, is still an issue.
Maybe I’m a little weird… okay, yes I’m a little weird even if this isn’t a weird thing to think about… but have you ever thought about how God doesn’t need light? At all. I mean He sees everything everywhere, all the same, which is something we’ll read about this month.
We’re not God. His creation of the world made for our habitation began with… light. God didn’t need it, but we do. The human body is amazing, but without light we cannot see.
And as much as we need God’s gift of physical light to see the world around us, we need His spiritual light to see the world accurately, to recognize true beauty and identify the real enemy.
