2018?!? How is that possible? One day at a time…
It’s strange how things can feel so long while they’re happening… yet a year is gone so fast.
New Beginnings
We kick off Listen When He Speaks 2018 looking at what Scripture has to say about new beginnings God blesses us with. I’m grateful I haven’t yet run out of mine in this life, and that the best is yet to come. All the tarnish of my new beginnings grown old will be wiped away as time gives way to eternity. I long for that new beginning. And need a temporal one to tide me over. This one begins with me, as I once again dust myself off to take responsibility for the good habits I know are necessary to be healthier – mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. One thing I’m looking forward to is starting digging into the Word with a new Bible study group of ladies from my church. It’s been too long.

The Fruits of the Spirit
Our suggested memorization passage for January is Galatians 5:22-26, which starts with the Fruits of the Spirit. We finish the first month of the new year with Galatians 5 before we spend the next nine months looking at each. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We’ll end our year with gratitude in November and generosity in December.
